Romania’s sound has always held a strong presence in the underground, but Bucharest’s Barac moves beyond the status quo in favour of something more colourful, dynamic, and textured. His deeply personal Variety Of Different Feelings LP on Raresh’s Metereze label stands as one of the most powerful minimal releases of recent years. A remarkably diverse record, it comprises six extended tracks that are as emotionally potent as they are spellbinding.
Further releases on Rawax, Meander, Pressure Traxx, and his own labels—Moment Records and Shamandrum—have only cemented his reputation as one of the genre’s most influential voices.
